Office 365

There has been a lot of talk about the end of support for Windows XP, largely eclipsed by the Heartbleed bug of late, but still a very significant issue for many businesses. If you are still running Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 or Office 2003 you are now in dangerous territory. If the heartbleed bug has shown us anything it is that we need to have supported software for when security issues are found.

As an Office 365 reseller we are well positioned to upgrade businesses into the cloud. With the flexible monthly payments and available anywhere nature of the Office 365 service it allows businesses to grow as needed without large upfront costs or capital outlay. There are many benefits to switching to the cloud for your Microsoft needs, including easier availability, spreading the cost, constantly updated software and greater availability across devices including the recent announcement of Office for iPads.

One major benefit of Office 365 is the access to Lync, a business Instant messaging service with build in voice/video call, desktop sharing file collaboration and even phone integration for conferencing and online meetings. A good overview of Lync can be found here.
